Host an International High School Exchange Student (Madison, AL)

About the role

SHARE! Your Heart & Home with a high school exchange student. Host families and adults are needed to host exchange students for a school year or semester.

Responsibilities

• Attend your local high school with the exchange student
• Provide a safe and welcoming environment for the exchange student
• Help the exchange student adjust to life in a new country and culture
• Ensure the exchange student has access to medical care if needed
• Support the exchange student in their academic and social development

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Willing to commit to hosting the exchange student for a full school year or semester
• Have a stable home environment suitable for hosting a teenager
• Be able to provide transportation to and from school
• Have a basic understanding of the language spoken by the exchange student (English)

• Ability to communicate effectively in English
