Key Responsibilities of a Hospitalist

  • Manage and coordinate patient care with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Conduct thorough medical assessments, diagnose conditions, and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective recovery.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with hospital regulations.
  • Communicate and collaborate with patients and their families to provide education and support regarding healthcare decisions.

Qualifications for a Successful Hospitalist

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited program in AZ
  • +1 years of experience in Cerner or Cerner CareNet or Cerner Millenium
  • Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • State medical license in good standing or the ability to obtain licensure
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Commitment to delivering compassionate and patient-centered care

Schedule and Shift Details

  • Shift Information: 12-hour day shifts, 6a-6p or 7a-7p
  • Schedule: 7 on/7 off
