Delphi Healthcare has partnered with Lewis County Hospital, located in Lowville, NY in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains. We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for the Hospitalist team, offering long-term career satisfaction and a welcoming, supportive environment. New graduates are welcome.
About the Role
As a hospitalist in this rural community, your primary responsibility will be to provide comprehensive medical care to patients admitted to the hospital. This includes diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions, coordinating with specialists when necessary, and ensuring patient well-being during their hospital stay.
Lewis Health System serves over 30,000 county residents and seasonal visitors, offering inpatient and outpatient care, a 24-hour physician-staffed emergency department, a 25-bed critical access hospital, a 160-bed nursing home, specialty centers (surgery, orthopedics, and women's health), internal medicine and family practice clinics, a school-based health clinic, hospice, and home health services.

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients.
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions.
- Coordinate with specialists as needed.
- Ensure patient well-being during their hospital stay.
- Be available for on-call and variable shifts as required.
Requirements
- Current NY state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant.
- Previous experience as a Hospitalist is highly desirable.
- Strong clinical and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, rural healthcare environment.
- Willingness to be on-call and work variable shifts as needed.
- Dedication to providing high-quality patient care in a rural setting.
Pay
Competitive salary of $70 per hour.
Schedule
12-hour shifts with a flexible schedule.
