Hospice House Nursing Assistant Nightshift

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care, including personal care (ADL) such as bathing, body mechanics, nutrition, elimination, safety, special procedures, and housekeeping services.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences (IDT) and special case conferences.
• Assist with personal care (ADL) as noted under "Delivery of Patient Care" plus additional duties for NAs 1+4 and NAII, including sterile dressing for wounds, ostomy care, insertion of urinary catheters, oxygen therapy, tracheostomy care, and suctioning.
• Ensure accurate, complete, succinct, and timely clinical documentation in accordance with HPCCR guidelines and licensure/certification standards.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members and identify patient/caregiver needs for referrals.
• Maintain professional development, current licensure, CPR certification, and CEU requirements, and project a positive professional reputation.
• Clean patient rooms and ensure facility cleanliness, stock supplies, and maintain family room cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience required.
• Experience in home care, working with terminally ill, and/or geriatrics preferred.
