Hospice Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Responsibilities

• Deliver personal care (ADL) including bathing, body mechanics, nutrition, elimination, safety, special procedures, and housekeeping services.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences (IDT) and special case conferences.
• Assists with inserting and replacing urinary catheters once a nursing assessment is completed.
• Performs sterile dressing changes for wounds over 48 hours old, wound irrigation, ostomy care, and tracheostomy care.
• Monitors oxygen therapy, including setting up and monitoring flow rates.
• Cleans patient rooms and ensures all areas of the facility are clean and stocked with supplies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience required.
• Experience in home care, working with terminally ill, and/or geriatrics preferred.

Skills

Knowledge of patient care procedures, sterile dressing changes, and specialized care for various conditions.
