About the role
The Hospital Assistant II provides assistance and support to the technologist and to the department they are assigned to. They play a crucial role in the imaging team, assisting with various tasks such as preparing patients for exams, changing patients, assisting the technologist during room turnover and equipment cleaning, transporting patients to and from the radiology department, and providing support during imaging procedures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patient for exam.
- Change patient.
- Auxiliary technologist duties, including assisting with room turnover and equipment cleaning.
- Auxiliary patient transport to and from the department of radiology.
- Auxiliary patient assistance onto the imaging table when necessary.
- Auditing and distribution of supplies and linens.
- Transportation of equipment or lab specimens when required.
- Enhancing awareness and practicing department safety policies, including MR and radiation safety.
Requirements
The Hospital Assistant II must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. They must be able to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions in English. Flexibility in scheduling, ability to rotate shifts, and coverage for weekends and holidays may be required. BLS-CPR certification is preferred.
Qualifications

Flexibility in scheduling, ability to rotate shifts and coverage for weekends and holidays if necessary. Previous experience in a hospital acute care setting or imaging center is preferred. BLS – CPR certified.
