Position Overview
The Speech Therapist provides quality patient care based on physician orders, including assessments, treatments, care planning, and family education.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver prescribed Speech Therapy services in accordance with policies, standards, and regulations.
- Create evaluations, goals, and outcomes aligned with physicians' treatment plans.
- Maintain and update patient care plans based on progress and therapy goals.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including discharge planning and family communication.
- Ensure effective communication and confidentiality throughout patient care.
- Provide written reports on patient needs, progress, and therapy outcomes to physicians and care teams.
Qualifications & Skills
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Current, unrestricted SLP license in applicable states.
- CPR certification.
- Valid driver's license and auto insurance proof.
- Preferred: at least one year of recent acute care experience as an SLP.
