About the role
Buckner Home Care is seeking a Home Care Manager to join our new home care service in Dallas, TX. As a Home Care Manager, you will ensure exceptional care delivery by coordinating resident services, managing Care Giver schedules, and fostering strong relationships with residents, family members, and Care Givers.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and maintain resident and Care Giver schedules to ensure consistent, high-quality care delivery
- Create optimal resident and Care Giver matches that support strong relationships and positive outcomes
- Monitor daily scheduling activities and proactively address coverage gaps or changes in resident needs
- Develop, implement, and maintain contingency staffing plans to ensure uninterrupted service coverage
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date resident and Care Giver information within software system
- Track, document, and communicate all resident and Care Giver interactions, concerns, and service updates
- Serve as a primary point of contact for residents, family members, and Care Givers
- Respond to incoming calls in a professional, courteous, and knowledgeable manner
- Follow up promptly on resident and Care Giver concerns to ensure timely and satisfactory resolution
- Build resident loyalty by identifying opportunities to enhance services and improve the overall care experience
- Recognize and communicate opportunities to increase service hours when doing so would improve care quality and resident outcomes
- Manage new resident inquiries and gather relevant information to support the resident onboarding process
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum one year of related business experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered
- Valid driver's license required
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to listen effectively
- Knowledge of or ability to learn the senior care industry
- Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Effective interpersonal skills and demonstrated problem-solving and decision making skills
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Professional appearance, demeanor and conduct
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with residents, families, Care Givers, leadership and colleagues
