About the role
Responsible for management of all clinical services. This includes assisting the Director in meeting the objectives of the Agency; creating an environment for interdisciplinary development; and facilitating integration of all clinical services to assure safe, effective, cost effective patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Monitors and is accountable for quality patient care, patient outcomes, as well as patient satisfaction.
- Identifies need for improvement, facilitates problem solving, and assists in identification, and implementation of solutions.
- Ensures compliance with State, Federal (CMS Conditions of Participation) and Joint Commission regulations.
- Mutually establishes expectations with Associates and follows up to ensure success and achievement of desired outcomes (daily and long term). Completes yearly performance evaluations within established guidelines.
- Maintains current knowledge of relevant professional and regulatory decisions.
- Oversees coordination and management of daily workloads, staffing patterns, and scheduling activities.
- Assists in development of agency budget; responsible for observing and promoting cost effective administration of clinical practices in areas of personnel, supplies, and equipment utilization.
- Recommends selection, retention, or termination of Associates.
- Works with the Agency Director to provide appropriate orientation and continuing education on an on-going basis for clinical staff.
- Maintains a constant two-way flow of information in key relationships.
- Establishes and works toward achieving annual goals that are conducive to team, Agency, and Health System successes, as well as personal professional self-development.
Qualifications
- Current license as Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan
- Valid driver's license
- Minimum of two years supervisory/management level experience
- Minimum of five years direct care experience
- BSN

- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to use appropriate supervisory and education techniques
- Demonstrated leadership skills in leading, planning, organizing, staffing, communicating, and evaluating
- Demonstrated ability to write/interpret and follow policies/procedures
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal/communication skills, verbal and written
Preferred qualifications
- Previous Home Care/Hospice experience
- EPIC/EMR experience
- Experience with policy writing
- Computer experience with multiple computer programs
- MSN
- Understanding of regulatory and accrediting body standards
