About the role
New Haven teachers are offered a variety of leadership development opportunities including but not limited to curriculum facilitator, teacher facilitator and the Yale-New Haven Teachers Institute.
Responsibilities
- Engage in professional development opportunities
- Support students' academic and social-emotional growth
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices
- Participate in initiatives aimed at preparing students for college, career, and life
Requirements
- Must possess and maintain the certification requirements as established by Connecticut State Statutes (026 (History & Social Studies 7-12) or comparable)
- Must have a valid Connecticut teaching certificate
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of history and social studies curricula
- Ability to inspire and motivate students
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with differentiated instruction
Skills
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Ability to adapt to diverse learning styles
- Knowledge of current educational trends and best practices

Salary contingent on degree and years of experience: 26-27 School Year: $53,220 - $108,047
