New Haven teachers are offered a variety of leadership development opportunities including but not limited to curriculum facilitator, teacher facilitator and the Yale-New Haven Teachers Institute.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in curriculum development and implementation
  • Support and mentor other educators
  • Participate in professional development activities
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices

Requirements

  • Must possess and maintain the certification requirements as established by Connecticut State Statutes. 026 (History & Social Studies 7-12) or comparable
  • Must have a valid Connecticut teaching certificate

Qualifications

  • Strong background in History/Social Studies
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students
  • Experience in curriculum design and delivery
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Skills

  • Effective classroom management
  • Ability to differentiate instruction
  • Knowledge of current educational research and best practices

Salary contingent on degree and years of experience: 26-27 School Year: $53,220 - $108,047
