New Haven teachers are offered a variety of leadership development opportunities including but not limited to curriculum facilitator, teacher facilitator and the Yale-New Haven Teachers Institute.
Responsibilities
- Engage in curriculum development and implementation
- Support and mentor other educators
- Participate in professional development activities
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices
Requirements
- Must possess and maintain the certification requirements as established by Connecticut State Statutes. 026 (History & Social Studies 7-12) or comparable
- Must have a valid Connecticut teaching certificate
Qualifications
- Strong background in History/Social Studies
- Ability to inspire and motivate students
- Experience in curriculum design and delivery
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Effective classroom management
- Ability to differentiate instruction

Salary contingent on degree and years of experience: 26-27 School Year: $53,220 - $108,047
