History Teacher (Grades 9-12), 26-27 School Year

About the role

New Haven Public Schools seeks a Teacher: History/Social Studies.

Responsibilities

• Teach History/Social Studies courses to students in grades 7-12.
• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state standards.
• Instruct students in critical thinking, research skills, and historical analysis.

Requirements

• Must possess and maintain a valid Connecticut State Certification in History & Social Studies 7-12 or a comparable certification.
• Strong commitment to continuous professional growth and improvement.
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with students, parents, and other educators.

Qualifications

• Master's degree preferred, but not required.
• Experience teaching History/Social Studies at the high school level.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Pay

Salary contingent on degree and years of experience: 26-27 School Year: $53,220 - $108,047.

Full-time position.
