About the role
Codes discharged patient records for the purpose of maintenance of indices, reimbursement, research and compliance with State and Federal regulations according to diagnosis, operations and procedures using ICD-10-CM, CPT, and other classification systems and analyzes and reviews records for completeness.
Schedule
Full-time, 8:00 am–4:30 pm, Monday–Friday. In-house position.
Requirements
- Minimum two (2) years coding experience
- Completed training in ICD-10-CM and PCS, and CPT-4/HCPCS coding
- CCS, CPC, or RHIT certification required
- Ability to work professionally with physicians, hospital business office, and medical center personnel
- Experience with electronic medical records, abstraction, and an encoder preferred
- Epic experience preferred
