POSITION DESCRIPTION: Involvement with an informal, hands-on, educational science center program all about astronomy called Space Day; assist with each element that goes into a public program for a science center, including writing sponsorship proposals, marketing, curriculum development, exhibit-building, and event management; working with other students to create an event about the topic of your choosing that is both educational and enjoyable. PREFERRED SKILLS: Communicative and team-oriented; ability to keep detailed notes and records; managing tasks within deadlines; professional in attitude and appearance; creative; comfortable with audiences and coworkers of all ages/backgrounds; enthusiastic; willingness to learn; familiarity with Microsoft and Google Suite; ability to lift 40 lbs. QUALIFICATIONS: Open to high school juniors and seniors; recommended to have past job or volunteer experience. SCHEDULE: Fall 2026-Spring 2026; about 10 hours per week for 20 weeks; flexible scheduling; may include occasional weekends. WAGE: $12/hour.
