Hepatology - Full Time NP/PA

Position Overview

Atrium Health invites Advanced Practice Providers to join their Hepatology team at Atrium Health Liver Care – Huntersville, NC. The position is for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with experience in GI, hepatology/transplant, or internal medicine.

Location and Schedule

Location: Atrium Health Liver Care and Transplant – Huntersville, NC.
Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8am – 4:30 pm. No nights or weekends.

Details of the Position

Outpatient care for patients with chronic liver disease, cirrhosis, and patients being evaluated for liver transplant through our transplant program.

Candidate Qualifications

• Experienced APPs with at least 1-2 years of gastroenterology, hepatology/transplant or internal medicine experience are preferred.
• Will consider a new grad who has strong desire to work in hepatology.
• Nurse Practitioner – Master’s Degree or Doctorate of Nursing Practice required.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse required.
• Certification in the area of practice from a nationally recognized certifying body required.
• Acute Care board certification preferred based upon population and acuity served.
• Physician Assistant – Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program required, Master’s Degree preferred.
• Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants preferred.
• APP who demonstrates appropriate critical thinking and interpersonal skills.
• APP who can prioritize and make proactive decisions.
