Position Details
- Daytime work schedule: 7 on / 7 off, 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. (3-4 short days per week, required to monitor secure chats through 7:00 p.m.)
- Tuesday–Monday rotation
- Weekends included in rotation
Experience Required
- Graduation from an accredited NP or PA program
- Nurse Practitioners must hold a Master’s Degree or Doctorate in Nursing Practice with ACNP or AGACNP board certification
- Physician Assistants must hold certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA); CAQ certification preferred
- Current license to practice as an NP or PA in North Carolina
- Current prescriptive privileges and DEA license
- BLS for Healthcare Provider (AHA) – must be valid at least 90 days beyond start date
Essential Functions
- Perform initial and periodic medical histories, physical examinations, and daily assessments
- Record findings of examinations, assessments, and plans of care
- Write prescriptions and administer medications
- Order and interpret daily laboratory and radiology studies
- Determine treatment plans for patients
- Document all patient encounters and interventions appropriately in the medical record
- Attend, participate in, and contribute to group/practice meetings and policy development as requested
Schedule
Frequent walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling
Must be able to lift and support 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies
Must possess intact senses of sight, hearing, smell, touch, and finger dexterity
Must speak English fluently and in understandable terms
Must be able to react and perform in stressful situations
About the Role
The Carolinas Hospitalist Group is looking for an APP to join the Hospitalist team at our Cleveland location. This position provides 100% inpatient adult medicine care, including patient assessments, treatment planning, medication management, diagnostic interpretation, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team in a fast-paced hospital setting.
