Hematologist/Oncologist - Locum Coverage

About the role

A licensed MD is needed for outpatient hematology and oncology care in a solo practice setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical oncology and hematology services to adult patients, managing 6-8 patients daily, with up to 4 new consults weekly.
• Document all encounters using the Epic EMR system.
• Support a team with one Nurse Practitioner.
• Exercise prescriptive authority.
• Handle emergency consultations as needed.

Schedule

• Day shifts: Monday to Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Friday: 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with administrative time until 5:00 PM.
• No call required.

Requirements

• Board certification in hematology/oncology.
• Prescriptive authority.
• Experience managing adult oncology cases.
