About the role

The General Laborer assists with general labor duties to support their team in completing facility improvements, remodels, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and equipment installations.

Responsibilities

• Perform work under the direction of a Manager or Team Lead to assist on the job site with tasks that facilitate building or equipment repairs, demolition, removal, and/or installation of equipment, and general construction tasks.
• Drive a box truck or assist with safety.
• Move equipment and clean the jobsite.
• Assist with carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC projects.
• Follow jobsite protocols specific to each project and site.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Use basic tools and assemble or install by following instructions.
• Perform heavy lifting, standing, bending, reaching, and climbing ladders.
• Work a flexible schedule including days, nights, or weekends.
• Demonstrate full awareness of surroundings and utilize proper safety techniques and equipment.
• Proactively alert management of any unsafe acts or conditions to prevent injuries.
• Manage time and prioritize tasks, following special instructions and schedules.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance.

Requirements

• Knowledge of construction safety and procedures.
• Basic knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Demonstrated ability to use hand tools.
• Ability to manage time effectively.
• Computer skills and general knowledge of all trades.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Valid email address.
• Must possess own tools (specialty tools provided as needed).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Must pass a drug test and background check.
• Dependable and able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
• Ability to travel 75-100% of the time.

Physical Demands

• Move about the work site, working around people and equipment.
• Occasionally ascend/descend a ladder or stairs.
• Operate tools or equipment.
• Position self to install or remove equipment, including maneuvering in small spaces.
• Frequently communicate with customers and co-workers while performing job tasks.
• Move equipment weighing in excess of 50 lbs.

Pay

• Helper: Up to $60,000 per year (pay potential based on projects completed).
• Technician: Up to $80,000 per year (pay potential based on projects completed).

Travel for work out of state may be necessary. Interstate trips are distributed among all drivers, and all drivers are subject to assignment for these trips.
