Heavy Equipment Operator - Working Foreman
About the role
The Town of Danvers is seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to serve as Working Foremen in the DPW Streets Division. This is a full-time, benefited position working 40 hours per week (Monday - Friday: 7:00AM - 3:00PM).
Responsibilities
- Operate automotive and/or complex highway construction maintenance equipment requiring a hydraulic license.
- Manipulate controls on vehicles, and/or attachments to perform routine daily maintenance on assigned equipment.
Requirements
- Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in roadway maintenance, construction, and operation of heavy trucks and equipment, including operation of gas and diesel hydraulic equipment.
- Graduation from high school or trade school required. Associates degree preferred.
- Possession of a Commercial Driver's License including general knowledge and airbrake, and tanker endorsements.
- Requires possession of Hydraulics License.
- Completion of, or ability to complete within twelve (12) months of hire, OSHA Confined Spaces Safety Course.
- Completion of, or ability to complete within twelve (12) months of hire, excavation safety and competent person training.

Benefits
This position earns $26.33/hourly with the ability to move through the pay scale via step system to a maximum of $30.30/hourly (AFSCME Unit A).
