Job Details
We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and highly skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic/Technician to join our team in the Manufacturing industry.
This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
Responsibilities
- Perform regular diagnostic tests on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify and respond to signs of malfunction.
- Carry out heavy equipment repairs in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and standards.
- Oversee the installation and operation of new machinery and equipment.
- Provide recommendations for improving equipment performance and longevity.
- Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on machinery.
- Work closely with the team to troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues.
- Stay updated on industry trends, equipment advancements, and maintenance methods.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic/Technician in the Manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience with diesel engines, agricultural equipment, forklifts, lifts, and cleaning equipment.
- Excellent understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in the Manufacturing industry.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong physical condition and endurance, capable of lifting heavy machinery and working in physically demanding conditions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, if necessary.
