About the role
This is a full-time, field-based role focused on the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of ready-mix trucks and heavy equipment to ensure safety and reliability. The position is primarily outdoors and requires physical activity and adherence to safety precautions.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on ready-mix trucks and heavy equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and repair or replace faulty components.
- Operate mobile equipment and service vehicles.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Assist in training team members as needed.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Purchase parts as required for repairs and maintenance.
- Provide on-site support at various job locations.
- Install, maintain, and repair machinery and systems.
- Diagnose malfunctions and perform corrective actions.
- Weld and fabricate parts as necessary.
- Maintain organized work areas and support safety compliance.
Requirements
- Minimum of one year of truck mechanic experience.
- Strong understanding of truck systems, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components.
- Proficiency with power tools, welders, and maintenance software.
- Knowledge of standard maintenance procedures.
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Must supply personal tools.
- Adherence to safety standards, including proper use of PPE.
Qualifications
- Experience with concrete mixers and aggregate haul trucks is preferred.
- Experience with specific maintenance software is a plus.
