Heavy Duty Mechanics - Second Shift

About the role

This is a full-time, field-based role focused on the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of ready-mix trucks and heavy equipment to ensure safety and reliability. The position is primarily outdoors and requires physical activity and adherence to safety precautions.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on ready-mix trucks and heavy equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and repair or replace faulty components.
• Operate mobile equipment and service vehicles.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Assist in training team members as needed.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
• Purchase parts as required for repairs and maintenance.
• Provide on-site support at various job locations.
• Install, maintain, and repair machinery and systems.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform corrective actions.
• Weld and fabricate parts as necessary.
• Maintain organized work areas and support safety compliance.

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of truck mechanic experience.
• Strong understanding of truck systems, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components.
• Proficiency with power tools, welders, and maintenance software.
• Knowledge of standard maintenance procedures.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Must supply personal tools.
• Adherence to safety standards, including proper use of PPE.

Qualifications

• Experience with concrete mixers and aggregate haul trucks is preferred.
• Experience with specific maintenance software is a plus.
