About the Role
A hands-on Mechanic position focused on maintaining and repairing heavy equipment, including ready-mix trucks, to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair machinery, equipment, plumbing, and electrical systems according to specifications.
- Operate mobile equipment, service trucks, and perform daily maintenance tasks.
- Weld, fabricate, and purchase parts as needed for repairs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Provide on-site support and collaborate with team members and leadership.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures, including PPE use.
Requirements
- Minimum of one year of truck mechanic experience.
- Strong knowledge of truck mechanics and maintenance practices.
- Proficient with power tools, welders, and safety equipment.
- Experience with electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Ability to read technical manuals, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively.
- Proficient in maintenance software; experience with specific systems is a plus.
- High school diploma preferred.
- Personal tools up to ¾-inch drive required.
Work Environment
- Field-based role at a Fort Lupton Plant.
- Outdoor work with exposure to various weather conditions and loud machinery.
- Physical activities including lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, and standing.
- Use of PPE and compliance with safety standards.
- Travel to different job sites as needed.
