Role Overview
We are seeking a Mechanic responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy equipment, including ready-mix trucks, to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair machinery and equipment per specifications
- Operate service vehicles and assist with on-site support at various locations
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety policies
- Weld, fabricate, and purchase parts as needed
- Mentor co-workers and collaborate with team members and leadership
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of one year truck mechanic experience
- Knowledge of truck mechanics, maintenance procedures, and safety standards
- Proficiency with power tools, welding, and maintenance software (preferred)
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks and handle equipment up to 50 lbs
- Experience with concrete mixers and aggregate trucks is a plus
Additional Requirements
- Personal tools up to ¾-inch drive
- High school diploma (asset)
- Must wear PPE and pass safety and background checks
- Willingness to work outdoors and travel as needed
