Heavy Duty Mechanics - Second Shift

Role Overview

We are seeking a Mechanic responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy equipment, including ready-mix trucks, to ensure safety and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair machinery and equipment per specifications
• Operate service vehicles and assist with on-site support at various locations
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety policies
• Weld, fabricate, and purchase parts as needed
• Mentor co-workers and collaborate with team members and leadership

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum of one year truck mechanic experience
• Knowledge of truck mechanics, maintenance procedures, and safety standards
• Proficiency with power tools, welding, and maintenance software (preferred)
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Physical ability to perform manual tasks and handle equipment up to 50 lbs
• Experience with concrete mixers and aggregate trucks is a plus

Additional Requirements

• Personal tools up to ¾-inch drive
• High school diploma (asset)
• Must wear PPE and pass safety and background checks
• Willingness to work outdoors and travel as needed
