Heavy Duty Mechanic

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Red Seal Heavy Duty Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain material handling and heavy-duty equipment, including skid steers, forklifts, and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty and material handling equipment.
• Perform scheduled maintenance, appraisals, and safety inspections.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, engine, and related systems.
• Complete required service reports, timecards, and documentation.
• Perform shop and field/road service as required.
• Communicate repair status and requirements with customers and Supervisors.
• Order and track parts to ensure timely repairs.
• Provide professional, customer-focused service.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Red Seal Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician or Journeyman certification required.
• Experience with forklifts, aerial equipment, or other heavy-duty equipment preferred.
• Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and computer skills.
• Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics.
• Experience with LPG spark-ignition and diesel compression-ignition engines.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Physically capable of lifting, moving, and performing required job duties.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay

$51–$61 per hour, plus pension.
