About the Role
We are seeking a Mechanic responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy equipment, trucks, and machinery at a plant location.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on trucks, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Install, maintain, and repair machinery, structures, and systems per specifications
- Operate service vehicles and equipment for onsite repairs and servicing
- Weld, fabricate, and purchase parts as needed for maintenance tasks
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Collaborate with team members and leadership, providing on-site support and mentoring
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and operational standards
Requirements
- Minimum of one year of truck mechanic experience
- Knowledge of truck mechanics, maintenance, and repair procedures
- Proficiency with power tools, welding, and safety devices
- Experience with computer maintenance software and specific systems preferred
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, climb, and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Must wear PPE and pass safety and background checks
Additional Details
This full-time position involves outdoor work, manual dexterity, and use of personal protective equipment. Travel may be required.
Pay
Compensation ranges from $28 to $34 per hour based on experience.
