About the role

The post is full time 36 hours. You will work for The Highland Council with Agenda for Change terms and conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Identify health needs as early as possible and improve health and wellbeing by promoting health, preventing ill health and reducing inequalities.
  • Visit families in their own homes and provide health advice and support to empower parents to care for their children.
  • Work as an autonomous practitioner with families, young children and vulnerable individuals, means you must be approachable, friendly and have excellent communication skills.
  • Deal with stress and challenges, including very difficult cases.
  • Manage time and organise tasks effectively.

Requirements

  • Registered nurse or midwife at degree level or equivalent.
  • Post-registration qualification in Health Visiting/Public Health Nursing and be registered on Part 3 of the NMC register.
  • Educated to Masters level in a relevant nursing area, or demonstrate an equivalent level of knowledge gained through, for example, completion of NES modules on Assessment, Leadership, and Critical Thinking.

Benefits

  • Fixed term (12 months).

Pay

  • Salary Scale: £52,769 - £61,377 per annum.

  • Full time 36 hours.
