About the role

As a Band 7 Health Visitor, you will work alongside colleagues in Uist and Barra, providing an accessible, high quality, culturally sensitive and effective Health Visiting service in the community. You will work in partnership with service users, care providers and other partner agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide an accessible, high quality, culturally sensitive and effective Health Visiting service in the community
  • Work in partnership with service users, care providers and other partner agencies
  • Manage a caseload and possess good problem solving skills, an ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
  • Communicate and interact effectively with service users, care providers and other partner agencies
  • Respond to, report and escalate Child Protection concerns with minimal delay to safeguard children and families
  • Record keeping, data collection, updating child health records with your assessment and plan for the child
  • Attend and/or chair child wellbeing meetings, child protection meetings submitting reports prior to attendance

Requirements

  • NMC Registrant with a recognised post-graduate academic qualification as a Health Visitor
  • Proven track record of continuous professional development and innovative practice
  • Car ownership and full UK driving licence

Qualifications

A recognised post-graduate academic qualification as a Health Visitor.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of Child Protection procedures

Benefits

£52,845- £61,466 per annum plus Distant Islands Allowance of £1,461 per annum.

Pay
