Home Visitor (Healthy Families)
Core Responsibilities
- Meet regularly with families with young children in their homes to complete assessments, develop goals, and provide services aligned with the strengths and needs of the child and family.
- Provide observations of parent-child interactions, including assessing for effective communication and empathic responses, and engage parents in reflective dialogue on the developing parent-child relationship.
- Aid parents in forming community connections aligned with service goals, including referral and linkage with providers of early intervention, mental health, health care, and other supportive services.
- Develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with key community providers.
Candidate Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Social Work, Child Development, or a closely related field; Bachelor's Degree preferred in Social Work, Child Development, or closely related field required.
- One year of experience working with families with children under the age of 5 required.
- Adept at communicating effectively – both in writing and verbally.
- Must be able to attend in-person family visits and meetings.
- Valid driver's license, insurance, and a reliable vehicle required.
Job Details
Compensation: Hourly range is between $20.19-$22 per hour; offers are commensurate with experience and bilingual candidates may receive additional compensation. The salary range provided represents our current estimate for this role at the time of posting and is subject to change. The final salary will be determined based on a range of factors, including but not limited to, a candidate's relevant experience, education, qualifications, skills, certifications, and alignment with organizational needs. Location
Hybrid (remote/in office); the Home Visitor provides in-home services to families in Champaign, Vermilion, Ford, and Piatt counties; may have the opportunity to work remotely from a home 1-2 days.
Schedule
Full-time, hourly; general business hours with some flexibility required for evening family visits and special projects.
