Health Unit Coordinator - NICU
Under the direction of the Manager/designee, performs a variety of duties related to the clerical and receptionist activities of the department and serves as the focal communication source in the nursing station and/or reception area. Ages of patients served: adolescent to geriatric.
Responsibilities
- Perform clerical and receptionist duties for the department.
- Serve as the primary communication source in the nursing station and/or reception area.
- Carry out related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Coursework/Training in Medical Terminology.
- Experience with Medical Terminology.
Qualifications
Preferred:
- Completion of a Unit Secretary course.
- Health Unit Coordinator Certification upon hire.
- 1 year of experience in a hospital, physician office, or other medical setting.
Schedule
- Full-time, 36 hours weekly.
- Night shift.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $20.93 - $32.07 per hour. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
