Your Specific Responsibilities
- Work as Health Support Technician in all WIC clinic locations in the 10-county region.
- Work at various sites with scheduled or advance notification of changes.
- Assist in providing quality nutrition services to WIC participants in compliance with Federal Regulations and state policies.
- Assist in promoting cooperation, courtesy, and teamwork in a diverse environment.
- Complete required end of the month reports.
- Complete formula inventory daily.
- Ensure all monthly reports are completed and submitted on time.
- Perform height and weight measurements on women, infants, and children.
- Collect and document client demographics including email addresses.
- Assess and record income, demographic, and other information necessary to determine WIC program eligibility.
- Document all attempts and successful contacts with clients.
- Assist in decreasing non-participation by contacting clients who appear on related reports.
- Assess immunization status and complete lab/anthro and immunization sections in FL-WiSE.
- Obtain accurate data on height and weight measurement on women, infants, and children.
- Perform hematocrit/hemoglobin testing and record results electronically.
- Clean equipment and area where blood work is done daily.
- Maintain “universal precautions” and follow established guidelines and standards for safety.
- Support breastfeeding initiatives.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Deal with the public in a tactful and courteous manner.
- Maintain effective customer service skills in stressful situations.
- Prioritize, organize, and schedule work assignments.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Lift 15-20 lbs.
Qualifications
- A valid Driver’s License.
- Experience providing customer experience.
