The Arcadia Family of Companies is a local non-profit organization dedicated to providing senior living excellence. This position offers a rewarding entry-level role in healthcare, supporting our dedicated healthcare team.
Responsibilities
- Reviews meal tickets, prepares dining room for meals including cleaning/bussing tables, setting up utensils, preparing dishes to be sent to the kitchen; assists residents to dining table.
- Serves resident meals in a family style environment and delivers meals to resident rooms.
- Takes and records the residents': Assigned ADL tasks including but not limiting to transfers, range of motion, passive range of motion and ambulation.
- Vitals (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, weight, and respiration rates).
- Intake and output of food and fluid.
- Provides companion services according to service plan.
- Observes and reports to Licensed Staff all changes in condition (including significant changes), behavior or whereabouts that may require intervention.
- Makes sure residents are safe and clean by assisting with laundry, changing bed linens; cleaning, sanitizing and maintaining wheelchairs.
- Encourages participation in exercise classes, social and recreational activities.
- Adheres to assigned work schedules and accurately uses the time and attendance system.
- Participates in Continuous Quality Improvement and/or Quality Assurance Programs.
- Interacts with clients and members in accordance with AFC’s mission, core values, mindsets and guideposts.
- Exercises caution and good safety judgment in uncertain conditions or situations, and report and/or correct hazards, potential or actual.
- Ensures that all resident rights and privacy are protected and enforced, and establishes and maintains a close liaison with clients, members’, and families.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in using a computer, which may include using such software as Vision or Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) and other applicable software applications.
- Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to the following conditions: Air conditioned office environment, Indoors without air conditioning, Outdoors—all types of weather, Hazardous materials.
