About the role

This is a one-year term position supporting the Health Service IT with the clinical and administrative systems used by health service staff. The Health Service IT Assistant supports the Health Service Systems Administrator by acting as a departmental customer service agent supporting staff needs through several large projects over the next year including inventory management, device setup, report creation, and troubleshooting issues.

Responsibilities

  • SHS IT Project Management: Includes the correction of medical record data issues found when preparing the incoming student data to send to Dartmouth Health and the updating of the user & provider table in PNC to meet newly added license requirements. Assists with setting up billable services in the PNC billing module and assists in the creation and establishment of a waiver process for DSGHP through PNC billing. (50%)
  • Troubleshooting: Addresses issues reported by staff and campus services that affect DSHS systems. Closely screens Health Services IT and individual campus email accounts as well as the campus IT ticketing system for Health Services issues. (20%)
  • Inventory Management: Manages Health Services computer inventory through the Campus CAP program. This includes ordering and configuring desktops/laptops and monitors. (20%)
  • User Account Management: Manages user account process including the updating and creation of PNC user accounts, EDH access, and Castries configuration. (10%)

Required Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least one year of experience with complex administrative information systems

  • Experience acting as support for an electronic medical records system
  • At least two years of experience with complex administrative information systems, preferably in a college or university healthcare setting

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
