Fives Landis Corp is seeking a Health & Safety, Environmental Engineer (HSE) in Hagerstown, Maryland.
What You'll Be Doing
- Evaluate manufacturing processes, procedures, permits, and records for compliance with OSHA, EPA, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and other regulations.
- Lead incident, injury, and workers' compensation investigations using root cause analysis, data analysis, and structured problem-solving methods.
- Analyze operational, safety, and environmental data to identify trends, assess risks, and measure HSE program effectiveness.
- Manage HSE documentation control, including policies, procedures, training records, safety reports, environmental reports, regulatory filings, customer compliance portals, and ISO system documentation.
- Plan, conduct, and support regulatory assessments, internal audits, environmental inspections, and ISO audits.
- Design, deliver, and maintain OSHA-mandated and site-specific safety and environmental training programs.
- Provide technical guidance to leadership and cross-functional teams, standardize HSE practices, lead safety committees, and conduct safety and environmental walks.

Qualifications
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering, occupational safety, environmental science, or a related field is required.
- Demonstrated experience conducting incident investigations, performing root-cause analysis, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Strong record keeping, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and experience with Microsoft, SAP, ACAD, and other relevant software platforms is a plus.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $68,000 – $85,000, with the rate offered being commensurate with experience.
