HEAD START FAMILY PARTNERSHIP COORDINATOR

Location: Grand Portage Head Start

Wage Range: $22.66 + DOQ

About the role

Responsible for providing services to Head Start families and carrying out the program's Family Partnership Agreements and ERSEA requirements. Responsible for providing current, up-to-date information to Head Start families, connecting them to other helping agencies and resources. Responsible for providing ongoing support and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Provide services to Head Start families
• Carry out Family Partnership Agreements and ERSEA requirements
• Connect families to helping agencies and resources
• Provide ongoing support and monitoring
• Promote healthy living skills and growth opportunities through referrals
• Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance job-related skills

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Services and/or Human Services or in progress, or
• Two-year Associate of Arts Degree and enrolled in college courses to complete licensure, or in progress
• Ability to effectively work with families
• Strong desire to work with young children and families
• Ability to keep all information strictly confidential
• Bi-annual physical exam including an initial TB Test
• Clear background investigation for minimum standards of Character & Suitability for employment under the Indian Child Protection & Family Violence Prevention Act of 1990, Pub 100-630
• Pass background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol testing (required by Grand Portage)
