About the role
WECU is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to support people and culture objectives with a focus on the full recruitment lifecycle. The role provides operational and administrative support for Human Resources, emphasizing candidate and employee experience. The position partners closely with HRBPs, hiring managers, and leaders to ensure efficient, organized, and timely hiring processes aligned with business needs. Recurring administrative assignments and established tasks support the full Human Resources team.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support the full recruitment lifecycle; partner with stakeholders for timely and effective talent acquisition.
- Coordinate onboarding of new employees, including preparing first-day materials, document collection, and data input.
- Update employees’ records in HRIS and payroll systems accurately and promptly; complete related forms and processes, including Jira tickets and intranet forms.
- Process workers’ compensation and unemployment insurance claims; complete all filings and requests for information to reduce unnecessary expense and claims experience.
- Maintain department recordkeeping, including department network directory and employee digital and physical records.
- Provide support for regular payroll processing and benefit inquiries as directed.
- Responsible for Nationwide Multistate Licensing System & Registry (NMLS) individual and institution registration and renewal for WECU.
- Provide exceptional operational and administrative support for HR projects and activities.
- Assist with department projects and activities such as employment verifications, job fairs, surveys, staff recognition programs, annual United Way campaign, wellness programs, and more.
- As directed, author department content for the intranet; serve as backup for intranet support and approval.
- Perform other duties as assigned and assist others to complete tasks and work assignments.
- Follow WECU’s policies and all applicable laws and regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1–3 years of direct human resource-related experience preferred.
- Passion for serving others with exceptional service skills.
- Excellent interpersonal oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate complex and sensitive matters with care and adjust appropriately for the intended audience.
- Utmost discretion in handling confidential information.
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel; proficiency with spreadsheet formulas and tools of moderate complexity.
- Basic design experience using Canva or similar applications.
- Ability to organize projects, prioritize workflow, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
Pay
The salary range for this position is from $25.20 to $35.58 per hour.
