About the role

Provide educational support in Head Start and Early Head Start programs. Assist children in developing essential skills and engage with families to enhance child development.

Responsibilities

  • Support children’s learning through structured activities and play-based learning
  • Collaborate with teachers and families to develop individualized plans for each child
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for children
  • Participate in regular meetings with program staff to discuss progress and plan next steps

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field
  • Valid state certification as a teacher or early childhood professional
  • Experience working with young children and families
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

  • Pass a background check
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of early childhood development and best practices
