About the role
Provide educational support in Head Start and Early Head Start programs. Assist children in developing essential skills and engage with families to enhance child development.
Responsibilities
- Support children’s learning through structured activities and play-based learning
- Collaborate with teachers and families to develop individualized plans for each child
- Assist in maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for children
- Participate in regular meetings with program staff to discuss progress and plan next steps
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field
- Valid state certification as a teacher or early childhood professional
- Experience working with young children and families
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Pass a background check
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of early childhood development and best practices
