About the role
Provide educational support in Head Start and Early Head Start programs. Assist children in developing essential skills and preparing them for kindergarten.
Responsibilities
- Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Implement lesson plans aligned with Head Start curriculum standards.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff members to enhance learning experiences.
- Maintain a safe and nurturing environment for all children.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
- Valid state teaching license or ability to obtain one within six months.
- Experience working with young children preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of child development theories and practices.
- Experience with technology in education (e.g., using computers, tablets).
- Pass a background check.
Skills
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
