Head of Operations (Future COO Opportunity)

About the role

Our client, a growing company in the food and consumer products industry, is seeking a senior operations leader to drive business growth in the U.S. market. This position will be responsible for strategic planning, retail expansion, e-commerce growth, operational management, and overall business performance. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to become a key executive leader overseeing U.S. operations in the future. Location: Torrance, California. Initial training period in Japan will be expected.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business strategies for the U.S. market.
• Conduct market analysis and support brand growth initiatives.
• Lead and expand e-commerce operations and promotional activities.
• Oversee website performance and digital business development.
• Manage retail expansion projects, including site selection, opening preparation, and store operations.
• Develop and execute business plans and performance targets.
• Maintain full P&L responsibility and drive sustainable business growth.
• Identify operational challenges and implement effective solutions.
• Coordinate closely with headquarters and cross-functional teams.
• Lead and develop local teams to achieve business objectives.

Qualifications

• Proven experience developing and executing international business strategies.
• Experience managing overseas subsidiaries or business operations.
• Strong business planning and execution skills.
• P&L management experience.
• Demonstrated leadership and people management capability.
• Professional-level English communication skills.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
