About the role

As the first Head of Operations at Axiom, you will partner directly with the CEO to scale the business foundation of a frontier AI lab. You will manage everything from high-level strategic finance and fundraising support to essential daily business operations, ensuring the research team can focus entirely on solving mathematical verification.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic finance initiatives including FP&A, board reporting, and providing critical support for future fundraising rounds and investor relations.
• Oversee daily business operations such as vendor management, compliance, office management, and hiring operations to streamline rapid organizational growth.
• Function as the CEO’s primary operational partner, translating high-level strategy into actionable business processes across the entire organization.

Requirements

• Possesses top-tier management consulting experience from McKinsey, BCG, or Bain, with a proven track record of structured analytical thinking and rigor.
• Holds a strong STEM background in Math, Physics, CS, or Engineering to effectively collaborate within a deeply technical research culture.
• Demonstrates significant hands-on startup operating experience, having scaled businesses from the inside rather than just advising from the sidelines.
