About the role

MADCo. Studio is seeking a Head of Operations to run the business end-to-end. The role involves production, the team, vendors, the P&L, and client relationships.

Responsibilities

Owns financial performance, including profit-and-loss responsibility for the studio and margin discipline.
Serves as the direct line for clients from initial planning conversations through post-event follow-up, setting expectations, leading meetings, and solving problems.
Manages revenue and pipeline, converting inbound inquiries into booked events, pricing, proposals, consultations, upsells, and repeat and referral business.
Negotiates with vendors to protect both the client and the studio's margin, sourcing, negotiating, and maintaining long-term relationships with various partners.
Hires, directs, and holds a team to a standard, ensuring they perform at their best.
Directs on-site execution, including logistics, staffing, travel, vendor coordination, load-in, and load-out.

Requirements

The ideal candidate has five or more years of experience in luxury or celebrity event production, with leadership and ownership responsibilities. They must have experience carrying budget or P&L responsibility, negotiating with vendors, and managing teams to a high standard.

Qualifications

A polished and discreet approach to working with high-net-worth and celebrity clients, coupled with the ability to handle stress and maintain composure, is essential. Understanding the physical demands and time constraints of events is also crucial.

Skills

Fluency in pop culture and the ability to create extraordinary events, combined with the ability to take ownership and fix issues promptly, are key skills for this role.

Benefits

Full-time, on-site position in Los Angeles. Base salary of $84,000 plus a year-end performance bonus. Starting this fall, with onboarding through a quieter pre-season into the full role in the new year.
