Head of Marketing Operations
About the role
The marketing team at Verkada prides itself on an experimental mindset to drive revenue and scale new lead acquisition methods with a data-driven approach. This role reports to the Senior Director of Growth Engineering and involves hiring and managing a high-performing marketing operations team, overseeing automation and integrations, and building advanced automations using platforms like Workato and AWS.
Responsibilities
- Hire and manage a marketing operations team to scale to multiple teams.
- Operate and optimize demand generation campaign workflows and new implementations.
- Acquire and manage marketing tools, workflows, and automations to scale lead acquisition methods.
- Ensure efficient lead ingestion and maximize operational efficiency.
- Create advanced automations via platforms like Workato/AWS/Retool to enhance marketing campaigns.
- Research, negotiate, and purchase new software tools to drive impact with a skeptical yet experimental mindset.
- Build a waterfall process to maximize the purchase of new leads from databases while minimizing cost and enriching leads with necessary data.
- Work cross-functionally with executives, operations, engineering, analytics, brand, sales, and others to improve marketing campaigns, prioritize projects, and ensure alignment.
Requirements
- 7-15 years of operations, engineering, marketing operations, or product management experience.
- Strong ability to architect scalable solutions by integrating pre-built tools like Workato or engineering with low-code software.
- Strong ability to operationalize processes at scale.
- Strong ability to negotiate and manage multiple vendors simultaneously.
- Impeccable analytical and conceptual problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with a high degree of autonomy in a fast-moving startup or hyper-growth environment.
- Experience with SQL, ETL/data pipelines, Excel, and BI tools (Looker or equivalent) preferred.
- A big plus for an entrepreneurial hacker mentality and enthusiasm for driving revenue in novel ways.

Pay
Annual Pay Range: $205,000—$275,000 USD
