Head of Admissions, Alpha - $250,000/year USD
Mandate
The role involves leading the entire admissions process for a campus, from initial inquiry to final enrollment. The objective is to enroll families who genuinely align with the Alpha model, rather than maximizing enrollment numbers.
What You Will Be Doing
- Leading the complete admissions experience for prospective families, beginning with initial inquiry and concluding with onboarding.
- Facilitating exploratory discussions to evaluate alignment before proposing pathways or advising on next actions.
- Overseeing 20+ concurrent family engagements across various enrollment phases, maintaining transparent tracking and timely outreach.
- Delivering campus visits, observation days, and enrollment dialogues that articulate results, requirements, and the intended student profile.
- Safeguarding precise CRM and student information system records (HubSpot and SIS) to enable forecasting, task prioritization, and service excellence.
What You Won’t Be Doing
- Employing transactional or coercive enrollment strategies.
- Accepting families with poor alignment to satisfy quotas.
- Navigating complex organizational hierarchies or overseeing staff teams.
- Distributing responsibility for the family journey across multiple positions.
- Operating remotely. This position is on-campus by necessity.
Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver a relationship-centered, standards-driven enrollment process that secures well-matched families while safeguarding the credibility and effectiveness of the Alpha model.
Basic Requirements
- 3+ years providing premium, tailored service in settings where quality of experience directly shapes brand perception (education, high-end hospitality, executive services, selective membership, or independently managed client operations).
- Proven ownership of a complete client, admissions, or enrollment cycle from initial engagement through final onboarding.
- Experience concurrently stewarding 20+ client, guest, or family accounts across varied stages, supported by structured tracking and priority management.
- Ability to present specific instances of advisory judgment, including occasions when you recommended against engagement due to misalignment.
- Professional correspondence experience with C-suite executives, high-net-worth clients, or discerning stakeholders.
- Willingness to reside in or relocate within 60 days to Marin County, CA, or Palo Alto, CA.
- Authorized to work in the United States without requirement for visa sponsorship.
Nice-to-have Requirements
- Background in selective independent school admissions or competitive enrollment programs.
- Professional experience in luxury hospitality, high-touch guest relations, or executive support capacities.
- History of designing or enhancing admissions workflows, standard operating procedures, or service protocols.
- Proficiency leveraging CRM analytics to elevate enrollment fit and sustainability, beyond speed alone.
