About the role
We are seeking a PCB Technologist to collaborate with Product Engineering on designs for diverse and complex products. The ideal candidate will create PCB stack-ups that meet product requirements and align with current PCB suppliers' capabilities. They will also provide support to the commodity team to guide Teradyne's roadmap and influence the PCB industry's roadmap.
Responsibilities
- Execute PCB enabling technology projects to align with Teradyne’s product roadmap.
- Collaborate with PCB Technologists and Product Engineers to integrate electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing requirements that meet product requirements.
- Develop part-specific stack-ups and impedance calculations in support of Product Engineering.
- Conduct supply base gap analysis and needs assessments to develop projects closing identified gaps.
- Maintain written standards for PCB Design for Manufacturability and Product Acceptance.
- Qualify new laminates and implement approved laminates for Teradyne.
- Collaborate with the assembly DfM team to provide solutions aligned with product requirements.
Requirements
- Technical degree in BSEE, BSME or equivalent.
- 3+ years in the PCB Fabrication industry or PCB Design.
- Excellent communication and team skills, including writing technical documents.
- Affinity for problem-solving and innovation.
- Polar Si9000 experience is a plus.
- Advanced Microsoft tools suite skills.
- Knowledge of PCB processes for rigid and flex circuits.
- Experience with Logic Charts, Design of Experiments, SPC, structure problem-solving methods, Visio, and other relevant skills.
Qualifications
- Local to North Reading, MA.
