Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop digital and analog circuits for cutting-edge applications
  • Create and review schematics and ensure proper implementation within project constraints
  • Work on high-speed interfaces, including evaluating signal integrity and ensuring compliance with design standards
  • Develop and implement embedded computer system designs
  • Collaborate with PCB layout engineers to ensure designs meet constraints, including stack-up requirements, impedance control, routing, and manufacturability
  • Provide guidance on PCB fabrication and assembly processes, ensuring designs meet quality and performance standards
  • Provide technical guidance and training to junior and mid-level engineers to help them develop their skills, fostering a culture of growth, collaboration, and innovation
  • Take ownership of team deliverables, ensuring projects are completed on time and to a high standard
  • Drive hardware engineering projects in a fast-paced, evolving environment, adapting as priorities shift
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (firmware, software, mechanical) to ensure seamless integration of hardware solutions
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, tools, and methodologies in hardware engineering
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement in design processes and workflows to increase efficiency and quality

All About You

  • A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in hardware design, with a strong emphasis on both digital and analog circuit design
  • Proven experience with high-speed interface design (e.g., PCIe, DDR, USB, Ethernet, etc.) and signal integrity analysis
  • Extensive knowledge of embedded computer systems, including microprocessors, FPGAs, and peripheral integration
  • Strong expertise in PCB design, including constraints, stack-ups, and manufacturing processes
  • Proficiency in schematic entry tools (e.g., Cadence/Allegro, Altium Designer, OrCAD, etc.)
  • Familiarity with simulation tools for signal and power integrity analysis
  • Understanding of design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for testability (DFT) principles
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor teams, creating a positive environment
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting to management and collaborating with stakeholders

Compensation

The base salary range for this role is $141,400-$226,200. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.
