Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Front Desk Agent to join our team and provide exceptional service to our guests. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience throughout their stay. As a Front Desk Agent, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive impression of our establishment and ensuring guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests with a warm and friendly demeanor, maintaining a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
- Check-in and check-out guests efficiently, accurately recording necessary information and processing payments according to established procedures.
- Provide information to guests about properties, services, and local attractions to enhance their overall experience.
- Handle guest/homeowner requests and concerns promptly and effectively, ensuring their needs are met and any issues are resolved to their satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge of room availability, rates, and promotions to assist guests in making informed decisions.
- Answer phone calls and respond to emails in a courteous and helpful manner, providing information and assistance as required.
- Cook up with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure that guest rooms and common areas are clean, well-maintained, and prepared for incoming guests.
- Aid with the reservation process, modifying reservations as needed, and accurately inputting guest information into the property management system, as well as collecting payment.
- Process arrival calls, messages, and email for guests to ensure a seamless check in experience.
- Maintain a well-organized and clean front desk area, including supplies and informational materials.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Adhere to STR policies, procedures, and safety guidelines, ensuring the security of guest information and property.
- Assist with training and mentoring new front desk staff as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality management is a plus.
- Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and colleagues.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with property management systems.
- Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Positive attitude and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest service.
- Knowledge of local attractions, restaurants, and services to assist guests with recommendations.
