Guest Relations Representative

About the role

The Guest Relations Representative ensures that patients and their families experience Kaleida Health’s values through exceptional communication and customer service. The role creates a positive first impression for all patients, visitors, and staff across the BGMC Buffalo General Medical Center, GVI Gates Vascular Institute campuses, and Highpointe on Michigan.

Responsibilities

• Provide information, direction, assistance, and escort services to visitors as requested.
• Maintain a welcoming and professional demeanor that reflects Kaleida Health’s values.
• Interact with patients, families, and staff to address inquiries and support a positive experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of customer service experience in a hospital or medical facility.
• Core competencies and sufficient work experience to perform in a per‑diem position, as required for non‑clinical and nursing support roles.

Working Conditions

• Weight requirement: Heavy (up to 100 lbs).
• On‑site work arrangement.
• Union code: U07 – CWA 1168 BGH TCC.

Pay

Bi‑weekly salary range: $17.59 – $26.23. Wage determined based on experience, qualifications, internal equity, and applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Schedule

• Work type: Per‑Diem.
• Scheduled work hours: Variable (Shift 9).
• Standard hours bi‑weekly: 15.00.
• FTE: 0.20.
• Weekend/Holiday requirement: Yes.
• On‑call: No.
