About the role

Sylvamo’s Global Sourcing Associate Program is an entry-level program with a Procurement Operations focus. It is designed to give associates exposure to Sylvamo’s procurement strategy and purchasing processes, from corporate level category sourcing to implementation and sustaining activities at the manufacturing locations. The skills and knowledge gained during the program help prepare individuals for placement into a manufacturing or corporate sourcing role at one of our North America locations (Ticonderoga, NY, Eastover, SC, or Memphis TN).

Our GSA’s start their careers working in a development role for an 18-month assignment at a paper mill or corporate office location. During this time, they establish a baseline knowledge of pulp and paper manufacturing processes and the integrated supply chain in place to support the mill operations. The training period is spent carrying out a variety of purchasing and/or storeroom related assignments at the mill or corporate location, under the guidance of managers and team members. The role provides job training opportunities in key procurement responsibilities.
