Purchasing Manager I GSO

Core role focused on end-to-end product development and vendor management in the healthcare sector.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, engineering teams, and vendors to develop new products or redesign existing ones for cost competitiveness.
• Lead cross-functional projects, ensuring timely delivery and goal achievement.
• Identify and mitigate quality risks; drive cost improvements through production efficiency, re-engineering, or material changes.
• Streamline tasks and projects to minimize rework and maximize efficiency.
• Maintain effective relationships with vendors for assigned product categories; monitor vendor impact on business and product performance.
• Proactively track industry changes and vendor risks; ensure contract compliance and lead supplier scorecard processes.
• Challenge existing vendor pools, identify high-potential vendors, and develop sourcing risk mitigation plans.
• Develop new products with vendors and escalate issues as needed.
• Foster teamwork and collaboration across departments, acting as a facilitator and team player.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Experience in procurement within a healthcare company or regional sourcing center (preferred).
• Experience in new product development and supplier development.
• Proficiency in English.
