About the role
In this role, you will assist with leading the day-to-day operations of the school-age programs throughout the school year and summer.
Responsibilities
- Cordination and implementation of lesson plans based on developmentally appropriate practices
- Ensure effective communication with families regarding children’s developmental growth through observations, anecdotal reports, and conferences
- Collaborate with school district personnel to include principals, teachers, administrative and custodial staff as complimentary supports to programming
- Working with the Site Supervisor and Center Director to orient, supervise and mentor staff by providing necessary tools, information, and support to ensure success
- Facilitate family intake and enrollment process
Requirements
- AA in Education, required; BA/BS Education preferred
- Two (2) years’ experience working with children
- Excellent, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills reflecting strong customer service and the ability to interact effectively with parents/guardians and school district personnel
- Must meet all DHS requirements, including current clearances (PA State Police, Child Abuse, FBI, NSOR) and a Health Assessment with TB test.
Qualifications
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of child development and educational theories
