Groundskeeper - Facilities & Maintenance

Role Responsibilities

• Must be able to operate mower, trimmers, snow blowers, vacuums, power washers, and all gardening tools to ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the facility’s property.
• Performs routine cleaning, project cleaning (mopping, spot cleaning, signage/light fixtures/vents, etc.), minor repairs, snow removal, scrap removal, and preventive maintenance.
• Assists facilities in demolition, concrete, asphalt and other construction projects.
• Responsible for the proper cleaning, storage and maintenance of department equipment.
• Performs all landscaping duties (e.g., pruning, irrigation, raking, planting, weeding, etc.).
• Affords assistance in the movement of office equipment and furniture & event set-ups when required.
• Adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies in a professional and ethical manner.
• Able to learn and comply with the laws and regulations affecting the casino industry.
• Excellent customer and employee relations skills.
• Verbal communications skills.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• General knowledge of pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers used in landscaping and turf systems.
• General knowledge of automatic sprinkler systems.
• Must be able to operate mower, trimmers, snow blowers, vacuums, power washers, and all gardening tools.

Education & Experience Requirements

• Requires at least 2 years of experience in the field or related area.
• High school diploma or equivalency certificate is required.
